Through external collaborations, the firm also provides counsel and assistance in areas of the law including administrative and tax law.

The right to defence is a basic principle in a democratic and liberal country. In order to effectively protect the client, legal competence is of course necessary, but this must also be supported by the ability to listen, understand and ultimately help the client. This is how Article 24 of our Constitution is effected: ‘All persons are entitled to bring cases before a court of law to protect their rights and legitimate interests. Defence is an inviolable right at every stage and instance of legal proceedings’

The method

Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) schemes are processes that allow parties engaged in a dispute the ability to resolve the dispute without going to court. Resolving disputes through ADR processes not only offers a faster and economically advantageous alternative but also a more flexible one as when a decision is rendered in Court, the parties have no alternative than to accept it.

It is not always possible though to reach an agreement through ADRs and in these cases, the Court's assistance is a last resort.

When it comes to law, matters of principle must be set aside in favor of common sense and objective reasoning and lawyers play a key role in advising what is best for their clients.
